- My background is in public library service, so I am a champion of making information available to people. I am also interested in the environment and the consequences of human behavior on our planet. My participation is currently on a personal, rather than a policy level. As we discuss climate change, energy, food, and other topics, I hope that we can cultivate awareness and move the conversation along toward action which may indeed then influence policy.

Many people in this country, including our current administration, either believe or would like the general public to believe that global warming caused by human impact is a hoax. Are there any arguments, resources, and evidence you can offer to counter this perspective? I am especially concerned that people believe what they want to believe because it serves their own best short-term interests especially in the financial and economic arena.
